I just love school visits...

The initial inspiration for Digging for Victory actually came from one – when a local resident visited my Year 5 class to share her childhood experiences of World War Two. It is now my aim to make my own visits just as inspirational.

As well as offering in-person or online school visits, I also offer sessions to libraries and book clubs. As an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher, I can be very flexible and meet the particular needs of your school or group. I’m very happy to chat and discuss your requirements.

Formats include:

  • Year 5, 6 or 7 Assemblies

  • Whole class talks / workshops

  • Small group talks / workshops

  • Readings

  • Book signings

  • Q&As

What the pupils from Horfield CEVC Primary School have to say:

"I just want to write my own novel now I've listened to Cathy, I've got so many ideas in my head."

"Do I really have to wait until May to read it? It's just so exciting."

"Mr Fisher is so mysterious. In my head I keep thinking of why he might be crucial to the plot."
